Lou Perez
The Comedian
Lou Perez is a producer, comedian, frequent guest on Gutfeld!, and the author of That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore.
Lou was the head writer and executive producer of the Webby Award-winning comedy channel We the Internet TV and stars in the sketch series Comedy Is Murder with Free the People. You may have seen their video, "James Bond has a license to kill hate speech," which has amassed over 40 million views on X. That video surpassed Lou's early viral hit "Wolverine's Claws Suck," which has over 20 million views on YouTube alone.
Lou produced The Attendants with Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video; produced pilots for FOX Digital and MSN Games; was a comedy producer on TruTV's Impractical Jokers; and debated comedian and author Michael Ian Black for Open to Debate.
As a stand-up comic, Lou has toured the United States and Canada with Rob Schneider and Scott Thompson and opened for Rich Vos, Jimmy Dore, and Dave Smith. He also produced live shows with Colin Quinn.
Phillip W. Magness
The Economist
Phillip W. Magness is the David J. Theroux Chair in Political Economy and a Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute. He is a widely published scholar with interests in tax policy, international trade, economic distribution, higher education, and American and global economic history.
His works have appeared in outlets including the Economic Journal and the Journal of Political Economy, as well as popular venues such as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
He is the author of several books, including most recently The 1619 Project Myth. Magness holds a PhD from George Mason University's School of Public Policy, specializing in economic history.
